Screening of the documentary Havel Speaking, Can You Hear Me? by director Petr Jancarek, who will join us in person.

A multilayered portrait of Czech dissident playwright turned head of state, who became a political icon while retaining his insight, humour, and dedication to public service. In 2009, Havel invited Petr Jancarek to film ‘the rest of his life,‘ granting unlimited access and creative freedom.

The screening is followed by Q&A with the director, and a wine reception.

This event is organized by the Vaclav Havel Center in collaboration with Czech Center New York, with support of BBLA.
